Elegant new designs as art objects

The fascination for decorated bedrooms continues to be a returning theme in Juliëttes designs, as is the love of quality fabrics, Bauhaus and Art Deco. 

A number of fabrics by the Italian fabrics house Dedar caught her eye immediately. The striking dark blue with cream and red hues is a wonderful new rendition of the fabric by Gunta Stölzl. She was one of the few female lecturers at Bauhaus. Her knowledge of weaving techniques made her produce the most exquisite fabrics and wall hangings. The fabric is an artwork in itself, and as such deserves a stage. 

This also applies to the other fabrics that have been used on the mini headboards. Colourful upholstered artworks for on the wall, which in a larger format would perfectly suit a headboard in an Art Deco interior.
